Zach Anderson’s Masterful Use of Natural Light, Color and Movement
Photographer and Director Zach Anderson's recent collaboration with Austrian Dancer and Choreographer Luca Bonamore felt like a long time coming for the duo. Having followed each other on Instagram, Luca reached out to Zach when he found himself in Los Angeles and asked about setting up a shoot. Zach was immediately interested and wanted to find a beach that wasn’t common or populated. Driving Luca down the Pacific Coast Highway to a secluded beach in Malibu was the perfect prelude to the shoot.
As a dancer, Luca was the ideal subject for this project. He has a graceful energy and confidence in his body that allowed for poetic shots. Using color theory to augment the story, Zach’s images blur the line between movement and stillness. His fresh perspective and cultural awareness keep him at the forefront of the zeitgeist. All of this combined made for a collection of images that are as beautiful as they are powerful.
